"I turn Donna up when people come in that I don't want to talk to...when I don't have the time for a good waterboarding."

You'd think we would've figured out how to use this as an "Anti-Troll Response Device" (somehow channeled thru their connection to the Forum in response to their posting).

Hey there PM - been gone for awhile. The Nor'easter kicked our butts last week and knocked power out for four days. Cleanup is still in progress as we finished pumping 2 feet of Lynhaven Bay out of our friend's kitchen Sunday night.

They actually had a measurable high and low tide in their kitchen.........

Hope everyone's been well.

Amazingly mixed bad hereabouts--some of the most fun (eg, the chili thread when you were last about I assume) and then the back and forth nastiness frightening newbies and regulars alike...Still, some of the best times (hmmm...) for sure.

Hope you are quickly back up and running on home cleanup issues and physical ones too...

Greetings, Namor - you must have felt right at home with all that water. It sounds like you've been kept pretty busy by Old Ma Nature. How's the perforated femur (hope I got the right bone) been holding up?

Hey rob -

It was pretty hectic. We were keeping up with the flooding until the power went out and the submersible pumps stopped working. The generator wouldn't start and by the time we got a replacement the water had trashed a bunch of the kitchen appliances.

Knee/femur is doing great - went to Sawbones yesterday and got the green light to get back to working out. Starting with the bike and then on to the elliptical. Doc actually told me to dial up resistance until the knee "hurt" and then back off. It's about time, my highly efficient metabolism was doing a great job of converting everything I ate to body mass.

Time to don the tie dye spandex and go hit the gym....

You may now pour bleach into your mind's eye.

Good news that the healing process is well under way. Now you can get to work on sorting out that expensively acquired and rather fetching whisky gut. :-)

We had a bit of a blow over the weekend, nothing like you've had of course, just had a section of fence come down. If you'd believed the news and weather reports here though you'd have been battening down for the impending apocalypse. Brits love to exaggerate the weather.

I recently dusted off my road bike - new tires & frame pump and am going to start 'getting in shape'.

It is good to hear you fared OK and the knee is doing good.

Go for the Gusto

Don't forget that 'round' is a shape.

Just retubed my Rock Hopper and am anxious to get outside - the stationary bike is mind and butt numbingly boring.
